Virendra Sehwag rises to Number One Test Ranking

The dashing Indian opener Virendra Sehwag rises to number one test ranking after scoring superb back-to-back century in the two match series against South Africa. Virendra Sehwag now has 863 rating points which allowed him to displace his opening partner Gautam Gambhir from that slot.
Hashim Amla with 490 runs in the series is at number two position for the first time in his cricketing career with 842 rating points.
Gautam Gambhir’s poor run in the series means he has fallen to the fifth spot while little-master is at number six position with 805 rating points.
In the bowlers ranking, Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh is only the two bowlers who are in top 10 of ICC Test Ranking for the bowlers. Zaheer Khan is at number six position with 729 points while Harbhajan Singh at number seven position with 712 rating points.
Dale Styen is still heading the table with 867 points while Australian M.johnson is at second position with 780 points.
