Twenty20 World Cup 2010 – Sri Lanka start favorite on spin friendly pitch
By Rajeev on Apr 30, 2010 in Uncategorized
By seeing the current picth and condition in West Indies the team having more powerful spin attack will have upper hand, so we can say Sri Lanka will start as firm favoruite in their opening twenty20 world cup campaign against New Zealand.
Having said that we can’t writeoff New Zealand, they are very talented side and has more than one macth winners in their rank. The like of Jesse Ryder and B.McCullum has the ability to change the course of the macth in the space of few overs. Ross Taylor and J.Oram can provide solidilty in the middle orders while Daniel Vettori is quite capable of providing stability at the bottom.
Their bowling will heavily rely on Daniel Vettori and Shane Bond. Except Vettori and Bond no one is quite capable of handling the pressure and that is something New Zealand captain has to take care of.
Sri Lanka the 2009 t20 world cup finalist on the other hand will look forward to start their campaign with the win, having lost their warm-up game against South Africa by five wickets they will try to improve the mistakes they did in the warm-up and hopefully they will come with better batting display.
All in all the game is expected to be cracker of encounter between both teams.
Likely Playing XI for both Teams (Match is Schedule to begin at 22:30 PM India Time)
