M.S.Dhoni got married to Sakshi Singh Rawat

One of the most elegable Bachelor Mahendra Singh Dhoni in Indian Cricket finally tied his knot with his childhood friend Sakshi Singh Rawat. Both know each other since school time, they have studied together in DAV, Shamily, Ranchi.

The families too know each other well since both their fathers worked in MECON. After retirement Rawat family moved from Ranchi to Dehradun and settled there since last few years or so.

M.S.Dhoni who got engaged with Sakshi Rawat on Saturday night at Bhagirath resort, Dehradun decided to tie his knot hust day after by considering the busy Indian cricket schedule ahead. The 23-year old Sakshi is a hotel management graduate from IHM, Aurangabad.

The marriage was so soon, that only 50-60 close friends and family members were invited at venue where marriage ceremony taken place. The venue was Vishranti Resorts at Bidhauli, about 25km from Dehradun where engagement taken place one night back. The marriage ceremony started at 08:35 PM and lasted for nearly three hours.

From Cricketers Ashish Nehra, R.P.Singh, Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina and Piyush Chawla were present while from bollywood John Abraham were present during his marriage. BCCI president Shashank Manohar and BCCI Secretary N Srinivasan was also present at the venue.

Sachin Tednulkar who was specially invited by M.S.Dhoni was not able to attend his marriage since he was out of country. However more celebrity person is expected in Dhoni reception party to be held in Mumbai on 7^th July 2010.

For this special occasion, Mahendra Singh Dhoni wore a black ‘sherwani’ while Sakshi was dressed up in white ‘churidar-pyjama’. Tight security was thrown around the resort. Media person and cameraman kept one kilometer away from the venue where marriage ceremony taken place.
