IPL twenty20- Mumbai Indians beat Rajasthan Royals by 4 runs

Yusuf Pathan 37 balls century goes in vain as Mumbai Indians wins the close fought game against Rajasthan Royals by a narrow margin of 4 runs. At one stage Rajsthan Royals looked down and out of the game with 143 runs required from 57 balls but the super knock from Yusuf Pathan almost got Rajasthan Royals over the line.
In his inning of 100 runs he smashed nine fours and eight huge sixes. This was the second fastest century in twenty20 history, with this knock he almost blasted Mumbai Indians out of the contest but at the crucial juncture of the match he was brilliantly run out by R.Staish. With 40 runs more needed from 17 balls it was left to P.Dogra (41 runs of 29 balls) to guide his team home but the brilliant bowling from two experienced bowlers L.Malinga and Zaheer Khan kept the Rajasthan Royals tale in check to help Mumbai Indians prevail home by 4 runs.
Earlier, Mumbai Indians scored mammoth 212/6 in their 20 overs with the help of brilliant innings from two youngsters Ambati Rayudu (55 runs of 33 balls) and Saurabh Tiwary (53 runs of 33 balls). Both hit their maiden IPL half-centuries to guide Mumbai Indians to huge total after they have elected to bat first at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.
Sanath Jayasuriya and Sachin Tendulkar gave Mumbai a flying start at the Brabourne Stadium, with the veteran Sri Lankan taking the attack to the likes of Shaun Tait and Kamran Khan.
However both openers departed soon after adding 38 runs for the first wicket. At 70/3 in the 7th over it was left to A.Yayudu and S.Tiwary to guide Mumbai to the respectable total but they have achieved beyond that with their magnificent knock.
Yusuf Pathan was declared Player of the Match for his blistering knock of 100 runs of just 37 balls.
