IPL 2010 Fixtures Points Table and Match results

IPL is finally returned to India which was moved last time to South Africa because of security concern. In 2010 edition of IPL there are four new venues Visakhapatnam, Ahmedabad, Nagpur and Dharamsala is introduced which will host some of the matches of Kings XI Punjab, Rajasthan Royals, Deccan Chargers and Mumbai Indians.
The format of the IPL 2010 twenty20 will remains same as used in previous two edition of IPL. However the number of games to be played in the tournament is increased from 59 to 60, since the tournament will feature a third-place playoff between the losing semi-finalists as a qualifier for the Champions League twenty20.
There will be another change in the tournament format as ‘strategic timeout’ is reduced from seven minutes break to five minutes. The timeout – which will be mandatory for both sides – will be split into two breaks of equal length with the bowling team opting for it between overs 6-10, and the batting team allowed to choose between overs 11-16.
The IPL 2010 will run from March 12 to April 25. The tournament will end just five day prior to the World twenty20 in West Indies.
There will be total 56 league matches will be played (each team will play with each other twice) and top four teams will qualify for the semi finals of IPL twenty20 2010. Top four teams with most number of wins will qualify to play in the 1st and 2nd semi finals. First and second semifinals of IPL will be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore on 21st and 22nd of April while Finals of IPL twenty2010 will be played at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai on 25th of April 2010.
