India twenty20 World Cup Squad

Update as on 20th April2010: Virendra Sehwag ha been ruled out of world twenty20 because of shoulder injury and M.Vijay will take his place in world twenty20 squad announced earlier.
On Friday Indian selectors finally put the full stop on the speculation of who will make into the 15 member squad for team India in world twenty20 by announcing the squad.
The most surprise inclusion was legspinner Piyush Chawla and Karnataka fast bowler R Vinay kumar. Both players has been included in the 15 member squad announced by Indian chief selector K.Srikanth. R. Vinay kumar who is performing exceptionally well in the on going IPL was really delighted after hearing the news that he has been included in the squad.
Piyush Chawla who were ingnored by the selectors sicne last two years is able to make cut in the final squad becuase of his superb performance with ball and bat this year ahead of Amit Mishra and Pragyan Ojha.
Ishant Sharma, Virat Kohli, S.Sreeesanth and R.P.Sigh is not included in the squad. The reason behind it is tehir below par performance in the recent series as well as in IPL. The bowling attack will be lead by Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh, Ashish Nehra, Praveen Kumar, Vinay Kumar and second spinner Piyush Chawla.
There were injury concern surrounding Ashish Nehra and Gautam Gambhir but they have submitted their fitness reports to the board and are included in the squad. Botha re recovering well and is expected to be macth fir before twenty20 world cup gets under way.
M.S.Dhoni will lead the side while Virendra Sehwag has been named as vice-captain of the Indian side. Dinesh karthik is also included in the squad as second wicket keeper batsman.
Twenty20 World Cup will start just after five days break of IPL that is on April 30th in West Indies. India is in Group C alonwith South Africa and Afghanistan. India will kick start their twenty20 world cup campaign with the game against Afghanistan on May 1st 2010 while their second group match against South Africa will be played on May 2nd.
