The mighty Aussies will tour India in the first part of October for two macth test series and three match ODI’s. The schedule was changed after the request made by BCCI to CA, since the intial tour itinerary was to play seven matches ODI series but after India becoming the number one test ranking BCCI was forced to make the changes to maintain the position in ICC Test ranking table by Indians.

This is not the first time that Indian board has made changes to tour schedule. Earlier this year, they have requested South Africa cricket board to change the five match ODI series schedule to two test and three ODI’s.

Australia will start their tour with the tour games against Board President XI, and then they will move to play their first test match from 1^st to 5^th of October in Mohali. Chinnaswamy Stadium will host the 2^nd test match between India and Australia scheduled to be played from 9^th – 13^th of October 2010.

The three ODI matches will be played on 17^th, 20^th and 24^th of October at Kochi, Vizag and Goa.
